🪸BASE🪸

Make a ring in Color A

Round 1: 7 sc into ring – close ring (7 sts)

Join in top of 1st st from previous round. Ch 1.

Round 2: Inc round. 2 sc in each st (14 sts)

Join in top of 1st st from previous round. Ch 1.

Round 3: Inc round. 1 sc, 2 sc, rep (21 sts)

Join in top of 1st st from previous round. Ch 1.

Cut yarn.

Sew in the starting tail.

Leave a 12 inch ending tail to attach your base to your body during assembly.

🪸FACE🪸

Using Color B cut 12  inches of yarn.

Find the center of the front side of the jellyfish. In the 2nd round from the bottom, insert your needle from inside to the front at the bottom left corner of the left eye. Working from left to right, stitch the left eye, then mouth and then right eye.

Carefully tie the tails together in a triple knot. Do not pull too tight or you will accidentally pull in the sides of your jellyfish body. Leave the tails for stuffing.

🪸KEYRING CLIP ATTACHMENT🪸

Cut 2 pieces of yarn about 18 inches long. Hold them together to double the thickness of your join between the keyring and jellyfish.

Place your hook through your metal clip or keyring, holding yarn to the back. Pull a loop through the ring and ch 1 to secure.

Yarn over your hook with the tail end of your yarn and then with the working yarn pull through both loops as if you were working a sc. Rep 4 more times or to desired length.

🪸TENTACLES🪸

With right side facing, attach yarn to base alternating between color B and A. Attach 5 tentacles. See picture tutorial on next page.

Tentacle 1: ch 20 sts, sl st across, Color B

Tentacle 2: ch 22 sts, sl st across Color A

Tentacle 3: ch 22 sts, sl st across Color B

Tentacle 4: ch 24 sts, sl st across Color A

Tentacle 5: ch 24 sts, sl st across Color B

Bring tails to the wrong side of the base. Pull tight, triple knots to hold in place. Do not cut tails. Don’t sew in anything!! Woohoo 🙂Use tails as your stuffing!

💦ASSEMBLY💦

Using your darning  needle and the ending tail left on your base, seam the two pieces together.

Going under each stitch on your base as you pick up the loops left on your Jellyfish Body.

Then go down from the next loop left on the body and pick up the next stitch on the base.

You will need to skip every other loop because you have 28 loops on the Jellyfish Body but only 21 stitches on your base.
